Olympic class sailing is the best amateur sailing has to offer and usually peak performance of young athletes, and participating in the Olympic games - or winning a medal - is the greatest achievement of smaller class sailors. Upon achieving those goals, some of them turn professionals and race in the world’s most prestigious events, like the America’s Cup or the Volvo Ocean Race - and some of them grow to be real stars.
 The Cro-a-sail team is proud to count among its members Mate Arapov, one of the best Croatian skippers of all times, two-time Olympian in the laser class (in Athens and Sidney). Mr. Arapov has reached his sailing maturity, is a proud owner of numerous medals and trophies from some of the strongest competitions in Europe and worldwide, and the only thing he can wish for is an Olympic medal. We are thrilled to support Mr. Arapov’s Olympic program, and we are certain that his perseverance and talent will win Croatia its first Olympic medal for sailing in the upcoming Olympic games in China. Obviously, Mate has his work cut out for him and the path to Beijing will not be a breeze, for laser class leaves no room for mistake. The entire Cro-a-sail team is ready to support Mate in his Olympic efforts and give him a nudge toward the sailing Olympus - and benefit from his experience and great spirit. |
